An awesome night at the soccer, watching Canada play the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifiers. It was an incredible game that Canada won! A workmate came with me, and cheered on loudly with her noise makers and scarf :)

Lying in bed on the Australian Australia Day, I was looking at facebook posts from my friends back home having an awesome day and feeling very homesick. I randomly asked my iPhone to tell me how long it would take me to drive home and this is a portion of what I got.

It instructed me to drive to Hawaii, drive across to Japan, and then Kayak across the Pacific Ocean into Darwin Harbour. And the trip was only 52 days and 14 hours long.

A quick trip down to Point Roberts, a USA suburb, completely disconnected from the US mainland (seriously! Google it! Its very strange). But we went for a wander, geocaching through the parks and came upon these picnic benches under water. It reminded me of Darwin after the storms in the wet, except back home you’d go and jump in the puddles, here, it’s surprising they’re not frozen :P
